![]() I find this setting takes me along the smaller country roads but is still pretty direct. ![]() So, I like the minor roads more than the major highways so I have mine set on "faster time" but with "Intertsates", "Toll roads" & "Car pool lanes" ticked. Speedy Route is available in the United States and also world-wide, e.g. Pretty obvious really but plenty of people don't know what's in their unit. If you've also got "Highways" ticked it'll probably do what you describe and take you down all the smallest roads. If you need to use the Interstate, you can cut off 441 and use Route 83 to get to I-75 when you are on the south side of Atlanta. When you create a location on the map, the distance and speed will automatically be calculated. Google Maps defaults to using your current location as the starting point. The following procedure will calculate the route distance and time with respect to speed. Shortest means the shortest route, fastest means the route where you can ride at higher. Click on the Directions button and add your first destination. On the east side you can take Route 441 from Athens and get to where you are going in no time. The COBI.Bike system offers you a variety of options for your trip. Go into "avoidances" in Navigation and tick interstates and it will avoid interstates. Going south, you can take Route 27 from Rome and follow that road till you connect with the I-85 south of Atlanta. Time to get ther was more than double !!! Went through every stop sign and roundabout that it could find.įastest route for me every time, due to mainly using freeways/ main roads etc.ĭon't forget that there are other variables that you can choose within the route calculations. I changed my Nuvi 3790T settings to go by shortest distance and in my local area, it takes me along routes that I normally choose by intuition.Ĭhanged mine to shortest route when using it on the Sunshine Coast and it took every conceivable twist it could find. Fastest routes include roads with higher speed limits, on the assumption that you will get there faster, all things being equal.
